Blessed Virgin Mary Church
Celebrating over 100 years of Faith, Hope, Love and Community.
Blessed Virgin Mary Parish
Past
One hundred years ago, BVM welcomed and supported people from Delaware County as well as immigrants from Europe. We have been here for our neighbors during the Great Depression, the Second World War, the Vietnam War and 9/11
Present
Today, BVM continues to welcome and support immigrants but now they come from Africa, India, Vietnam and Puerto Rico. That's why we call ourselves "the United Nations of Darby."
Future
We will continue to celebrate what is good in individuals and every culture. We believe "BVM is the right place to learn, grow, share and worship." With confidence we look forward to many more years of being "a bright light of stability and hope for the people of Darby."
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary, and the grace of the Holy Spirit, continue to inspire us.
